If your loved one gets up at night, you need to know. The
Motion
Detector with Remote Alarm & Light Control will detect
movement and sound a beeping alert and turn on a lamp
in your
room (only)! Place the motion detector wherever it needs to
detect unauthorized movement and plug the Receiver into an outlet
in the caregiver’s bedroom. Plug a lamp into the Receiver and
whenever activity is discovered in the kitchen or en route to the
front door, the light in
your room will go on and a beeping alarm will
alert you. The unit also has a volume control that moderates the
alarm from moderate to absolutely silent.

What we like best about this
product: Often the person with dementia takes great
exception to being monitored or "watched", even though it is for
their own safety. They might threaten to remove the motion detector
or simply become very agitated. But in this case, using the light
only and/or by lowering the volume on the alarm, caregivers can
clandestinely know when their loved one is up and about – with only
the light going on in the caregiver’s room and a muffled alarm.
