For situations
where the persistent person with dementia is at risk of attempting
to forcibly enter the refrigerator, this Heavy-duty Refrigerator
Lock bonds (3" x 2") steel plates to your refrigerator side and
door with high-strength, self-adhesive pads. Once installed, they
are securely in place. Plastic-coated steel cables accept a small
pad lock (included). When locked the refrigerator door cannot be
opened. When no lock is in place the doors operate normally.
This is not a
child-proof product, but rather a high security means of
eliminating access to the refrigerator and dangerous foods or drugs
stored inside. Can also be used to secure a number of other areas
that may be of interest, including toilet tank covers, ovens,
etc.
Warning:
Installation of the Heavy-duty Refrigerator Lock is a
semi-permanent installation. Once in place it can only be removed
with considerable effort and in accordance to the manufacturer’s
instructions (included). If not removed properly, damage can occur
to the surface of your refrigerator. Once installed, this product
is not returnable.

What we like best about this
product:
In many cases child-proof refrigerator locks will not suffice,
especially when trying to protect an adult who may be able to
overpower or use tools to remove the a child-proof lock or latch.
The Heavy-duty Refrigerator Lock is no toy or child-proof product.
It is intended to provide a serious deterrent to anyone attempting
to get into the refrigerator when doing so may be dangerous to
them.
