Keep your
loved one safe at home with an alarm that monitors doors, window or
cabinets, yet sounds the alarm anywhere in the house.
How The
Door Alarm works:
When a monitored door is opened the transmitter sends a signal to
the receiver/alarm that plugs into any standard AC wall outlet in
your bedroom, kitchen, den, etc. You can use one set to guard one
door or buy extra transmitters (Item No. 0067) to monitor two,
three or more doors. Additional receiver/alarms (Item No. 0066) can
also be purchased separately and placed in different areas of the
house to add extra assurance that no alert will go unheard. All of
them will sound if any monitored door is opened.
There are
two Alarm Settings:
CHIME - When set on CHIME and a monitored door is
opened, the electronic chime sounds once, no
more.
MELODY - When set on MELODY selected tune will play
twice, no more. It resets once door is closed. Tunes are listed
below.
ALARM - When set on ALARM the warning will sound
and continue
to sound for no more than two minutes or until it is turned
off, even
after the door is closed.
The ALARM
setting has a two second delay. So if you happen to make a mistake
you can quickly close the door and the alarm won’t go off. (For
those caring for someone who is exceptionally fast and may be able
to exit and close the door within two seconds, we suggest the Key
Pad Door Alarm, Item No. 0034).

one goes into a cabinet (perhaps at night when the caregiver is
asleep) the alarm instantly and unmistakably alerts the

- The product
will work on exit doors, cabinet doors, windows, closet doors or
doors leading to dangerous areas of the home, such as the pool,
basement or attic.
- The
transmitter will work on wood doors, metal doors or sliding glass
doors.

can be set to continue sounding (on the alarm mode) even after the door is
closed.
- The alarm
does not necessarily sound at the site of violation (at the door),
it can be located where it needs to be – where the caregiver
is.
- It provides
comfortable (not deafening) electrical tones (for both the chime
and alarm).
- The alarm
plugs right into the wall – no adapter or electrical cord
required.
- The unit is
wireless. That means it requires no wires or electrician to install
it.
- The system is
expandable – add more door monitors (transmitters) or alarms
(receivers) and they will all work together.

Caregiver
Tip: On an
exit door, use the door alarm in conjunction with a chain lock
(purchased at your hardware store or local home improvement
center). This type of lock allows the door to open just far enough
to set off the alarm, but not enough to let the person
exit. |
